What does a section do?
The sections work on behalf of the student union board in a “well-defined part of Dalarna University”. The sections work with educational monitoring and student social activities. A section can always seek support from the office and the student union board in matters relating to the section’s work. The activity plan template lists some suggestions for activities that can be done within the section. The section also has its own login to "Orbi" where you can sell tickets and make the events visible to the students.

How do I become active in a section?
The easiest way to become active in a section is to have an idea you want to implement! The Dalarna Student Union office is available to support you in matters related to education, student social issues and collaboration!
Engagement-oriented
The important thing in a section is that you get to work on things that you actually want to do! If you are interested in organizing study social activities for the grades – then these are the ones you should work with! The office at Dalarna Student Union will of course help with questions and support!
The most important task of the sections is to carry out activities for their members. Meetings to preserve democracy in the association are important – but in the sections, most of the time should be spent on activities!
The board of the section
It is the members within the section who choose who will represent them. The union board confirms the election. You do not have to be on the board to carry out activities, but it is the board of the sections that decides how the section's financial resources are to be distributed.
If the section is dormant, the student union board of Dalarna Student Union can decide who will be the representatives of the section. These will then hold office until new representatives are elected by the members. Are you interested in starting a section or knowing more about your particular section?
