From July 1st 2010 membership in student unions are volontary for university studies. And we hope that you despite of the abolishment of the mandatory student union fee choose to become a member at Dalarnas studentkår.
The membership fee will be reduced from the autumnterm in 2010 to 150 SEK per person per term. This fee will be used in the educational and quality assurance, and the studysocial questions such as living arrangement and studying environment that Dalarnas studentkår are mainly focusing on.
A new feature this year is our entertainment-pass wich makes you eligable to take part of our entertainment activities. If you choose not to purchase the entertainment-pass you are, of course, more than welcome to our pubs/nighclubs, but you have to pay an entrance-fee. To be eligable to the entertainment-pass you have to be a member in Dalarnas studentkår.
Even if a membership is volontary from July 1st 2010 you’ll have to have been a member in the student union those terms you have been studying where a mandatory membership where in place. If you have an unpaid bill you will click on that and fill in the correct amount.
As a provement to your membershio you will be given a membershipcard. When you’ve gotten your student union card, you are entitled to several student discounts at numerous places. The student union card can take up to three weeks to reach you at the address you have given when you registered.
Payment over the internet
To pay your student union fee over the internet, you login to our member website, member.dalastudent.se. There you login with the Usernam and Password given to you by the university and used to access such functions as Fronter and Webmail. On that site you can find paid and un-paid student union fees and also change your adress and such.To pay, choose an un-paid bill and click on “pay”. After that you have to fill in what amounts you are going to pay.
Next on the list are section societies. You can pay to the one that corresponds to your educational programme. Last but not least are a couple of societies. More information about these societies can be found on societies. When you’ve filled in all of these, click on continue and confirm that the details are correct. Then you can choose to pay directly over the web using a VISA or Mastercard or just log in to your internet bank and pay as usual.
Payment on bank or post office
To pay your student union fee on the bank or on the post office, fetch your OCR via our member website, member.dalastudent.se. You login using the same Username and Password as when you use the universitys Webmail or Fronter.

Then you just fetch your OCR-number and note the Bankgiro-number and go on down to your local bank and pay as usual. Note that there are special circumstances if you are paying from a bank abroad.
